"महारास" राधा प्राणशक्ति है, एवं श्री कृष्ण प्राण है। इस प्रकार राधाकृष्ण परस्पर एक ही हैं। श्रीकृष्ण सोलह कलाओं से पूर्ण परब्रम्ह थे। गोपियां / ब्रजबालाएं वास्तव में वेदों की ऋचाएँ थी'। 'गोपियों ने श्रीकृष्ण से कहा - ''आप जन्म - जन्म से हमारे प्राणनाथ हो और श्री राधा की तरह ही हम सबको अपने चरणों मे रखो।'' इस पर भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने कहा- "ऐसा ही हो। हे ब्रज देवियो तीन मास व्यतीत होने पर मैं, तुम सब के साथ वृंदावन के सुरम्य रासमंडल मे, महारास का आयोजन करूँगा, तुम लोग मेरे लिए गोलोक से आई हो और मेरे साथ ही गोलोक वापस जाओगी परंतु अभी तुम शीघ्र अपने घर लौट जाओ।" ऐसा कहकर श्री कृष्ण यमुना किनारे बैठ गए तथा सभी गोपियां उन्हें निहार रही थी। एवं श्रीकृष्ण के मुखमंडल के सुधारस को एकटक देखती रही। और अपने - अपने घरों को लौट गई तथा व्यग्रता के साथ तीन माह का अर्थात शरद पूर्णिमा की महारात्रि का इंतज़ार करने लगी। श्रीकृष्ण ने कामदेव का अभिमान तोड़ने के लिए ही गोपियों के साथ महारास का आयोजन किया था तथा श्री कृष्ण ने अपने अधरों से मुरली बजाई तब ब्रज क...
