COMMON FORMS OF BULLYING
-

Commenting, laughing, poking a person unnecessarily - regarding their physical appearance (height, health, complexion), mental, psychological, sexual, educational, financial, work, or social status. Etc..

2020 compelled us to lock ourselves inside our homes which made us much more attached and attracted and ADDICTED towards unnecessary use of internet and social media. We spent most of our time in social networking sites and gaming apps (esp. kids) . We are breathing in a digitally, technologically advanced era, which also give birth to various online frauds, forgery and online money laundering scams. Also, people learn new ways of online earning by using internet and also get cheated.

THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT, 2000..

Enacted by The Parliament, in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India.

An Act to provide legal recognition for transactions carried out by means of electronic data interchange and other means of electronic communication, commonly referred to as ―electronic commerce, which involve the use of alternatives to paper-based methods of communication and storage of information, to facilitate electronic filing of documents with the Government agencies and further to amend the Indian Penal Code, the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, the Banker’s Books Evidence Act, 1891 and the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 , and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

AMENDMENT-
a new section 354D was inserted in the IPC that introduces the offence of cyber stalking
Even though the IT Act penalised cyber-crimes with a broad brush through sections 43, 66 and 67, it was only in 2008 that the IT Act was amended and provisions were made for specific cyber-crimes such as sending offensive messages through communication servers, dishonestly receiving a stolen computer resource or communication device, identity theft, violation of privacy, cyber terrorism etc. through sections 66A to 66F and sections 67A to 67C.
It's hard to believe but its true that a person sitting behind the screen who cannot even touch or see you physically can harm you, upto any extent. By posting your picture, or pasting your number or any kind of personal data he/ she gathered from you only.

Psychology of a bully -

We will never get caught, because we are hidden behind rat net of internet,
using multiple accounts (fake), using multiple devices for making it hard to track their ip address. Continuously moving with device to make tracking not possible. They may be or may be not good techno experts but they know very well, how to misuse technology for their entertainment.
Knowing very well that no one will complain because of sake of their name and prestige.
Currently, we are extremely addicted to social media. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter etc. All are like oxygen to our daily life. After every 1 minute we check our profiles as if there's any important information we missed, before 1 minute.

Habits of a Bully -
LETS CALL THEM "CYBER ROMEOS"..
Confessing love to random girls, asking them to accept their proposal, if get rejected, then ask for reasons of rejection. Try to do unnecessary cheap romantic conversation.  Compelling to accept the proposal, asking for phone numbers, some peoples infact give their numbers to girls and ask to call..
Its common nowadays that one can fall in love through social media, it's also okay to confess your feelings but how could you expect the other person to accept your love / marriage proposal, in return (through social media app, without knowing anything about the person)

Such things or acts harass a person mentally, grow disbelief and infinite fear - from people and strangers, for - forever.
Teenagers (boy/girl), childrens, or womens are most affected by cyber bullies.

Some Common Dialogues by bullies -
(Social media bullies)
"What do you think of yourself? Are you an angel, from heaven?"
And, wishes like, .......
"Want to see you once".
"Be my girlfriend" (meri gf banogi). Also,"Force to come into relationship".
 "Asking for physical/ sexual favors".
"Will you marry me?"
"Just click your photo now and send it to me". "Give me your phone number".
"If you'll not give me your phone number, how our matter will proceed??".....    are common....
Oh really!!  Are you applying for loan or something for which you want phone number to be in touch, to negotiate for Matter's proceeding.!!

Behaviour of a Bully
"You don't trust me? Omg, You have severe trust issues".
'Giving blatant speech about not being a good and honest friend.
'Emotional melodrama after proposal is rejected.'
Allegation of being arrogant.. rude, egoistic, and insensitive... for not understanding someone's feeling'.
Mock the given reasons, for not accepting the proposal. Also, try hard to enforce relationship or affair to start, (against the will). By Imagining any reel character take chance in real, to touch or to take any kind of physical advantage from the girl.

Some curses too -
"You didn't accepted my proposal na, you are insensitive, you'll never find love".

And,
"You'll have to repent in your life because you don't trust anybody".
"Unnecessary comments and abusive arguments with girls or with any user, on any random post of any page of social media. Continuously sending messages, audio/video callings at any hour of the time is all okay, according to a bully".

Common Threats by Bullies-

Rape threats, Acid attack threats, Death threats, Threats regarding harming family or raping girl child (daughter) of family, or sister, mother and wife. Spreading phone numbers, or posting photos, phone numbers to any adult site. Acid attack and rape threats are common.
Culprits of such acts, when they are not provided with phone number, photos or any other stuffs according to their wish, they go on a "Revengeful mode" .. or the social media friends- who turn foes, after not getting their love proposal accepted.. they post and paste girls pictures and phone numbers to adult sites. By doing such ghoulish act culprits feel relax as if their job is done to defame a girl or a person is only their duty to use social media. And to make others life hell is only their motive to use social applications.

Effects of CyberBullying -
Psychological Effects (worst of all)
Forcing a person to hate himself/herself, increment in mental stress, traumatic mindstate, mood swings, emotional outbursts, low self esteem, zero self confidence. Unknown, unwanted fear from every person they meet. Irritation towards the situation leads to Frustration and frustration naturally triggers a person to be aggressive.
Physical effects -
Eating disorders, sleeping disorders, Over stress gives invitation to various health problems and give negative impact on a person's health.
ADVICES
TO
PARENTS /TEACHERS/GUARDIANS -

Keep an eagle eye towards your growing up childrens, as they are easy prey for everybody. Fooling childrens, teenagers and provoking them against their parents are easy to do. Or trapping them in name of love.
TEENAGERS - Be alert always. Whom you are accepting/ talking as a friend. Never share your personal information like - school, tution/coaching, college, residence, relationship details, pictures, contact info, also your route details to anybody or in public spaces like public transports, when you don't know the number of audiences listening to you. It gives invitation to STALKING OR CYBERSTALKING.
CHILDRENS - Stay away from social media and gaming apps. It's time for studies and career, so pay attention to it. Always be in touch with your elders in case of any emergency, to get help.

"In case of being bullied by anyone, then immediately register a complain against the person, either at cybercrime online portal (State or National) or in your nearby cybercrime cell (With proof)".

CONCLUSION -
2020 has given serious taken aback to everybody, lockdown compelled people to stay at home only, also work from home is/ was at peak. Today We are extremely addicted to internet and social media world but it's not the real world and we have to control ourselves from using or getting more addicted to virtual world, gaming and fake life.
Use social apps for good causes or to spread correct information and for genuine reasons or for entertaining yourself not for spreading rumours or fake information, to mislead, to disturb and to torture or to harass others.
You are born as a human being so, behave like one. stop making life hell for others, to live - in real or in virtual world. Good Manners costs nothing, be a good person not just to show others, but in real.
Before defaming others, any gender, any religion ('GOD') , culture or community, or spreading terror and terrorism. AND especially about a girl/ woman think about females of your family, who are also a part of social media. What would be your reaction or your feeling when such acts are done to females of your family or of your life..
